Blue jay birds are characteristically teal or azure; examine pictures to spot color differences; a picture isn't quite as good as the real thing.
They eat nuts in a very interesting way; an animal holds a nut with the feet and cracks it open with the bill. They are very greedy, and don’t like to share their food. If they see another animal of this type, they carry food off and hide it.

These creatures are omnivorous. They eat not only plants, but animals as well. In the wild they usually fed on acorns from oak trees, fruit, nuts, seeds, insects, mice, frogs, small birds, eggs, beechnuts, and caterpillars.
